Data Deletion Request
Request deletion of your GarageSaleTrails account or personal information.
Requesting deletion
You may request deletion of your GarageSaleTrails account and associated personal information. We will review requests to confirm identity and process them in accordance with applicable law and our operational requirements. We aim to respond within a reasonable timeframe; we may ask for reasonable information to verify that the request is yours before acting on it.
Information that may be deleted
Depending on your request and use of the service, this may include account and profile information, listings, inventory items, photos, saved sales, referral data where applicable, and Trail Notes newsletter signup information where applicable. Public listings may be removed from active display when the associated account is deleted, subject to the retention limits described below.
Account deletion and Trail Notes unsubscribe requests
Deleting an app account and unsubscribing from Trail Notes are different requests. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in a message when available. If you want a Trail Notes signup record deleted as well, say so clearly in your deletion request.
Information we may retain
We may retain limited information when reasonably required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, backups, dispute resolution, transaction integrity, or enforcement of our terms. Retained information will not be used for unrelated purposes. Backup systems may take longer to cycle out deleted information, so deletion may not be immediate in every backup copy.
How to make a request
Email privacy@garagesaletrails.com with:
- the email address associated with your account or signup;
- your name;
- what account or data you want deleted; and
- confirmation that you are requesting deletion.
Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information. We may ask for reasonable information to verify that the request is yours before acting on it.
